Joe FitzPatrick is the Member of the Scottish Parliament for Dundee West.
Prior to his election in 2007, Joe worked as an assistant to Shona Robison MSP and Stewart Hosie MP in their Dundee Constituency Office. A Dundee City Councillor from 1999 until his election as an MSP, he was SNP group Whip and Finance Spokesperson on Dundee Council.
At Holyrood, Joe is Parliamentary Liaison Officer for Cabinet Secretary for Finance, John Swinney. He helped to set up a Cross Party Group on Life Sciences which he presently co-chairs. In June 2008, Douglas Fraser, writing in Holyrood magazine, tipped Joe as ‘a politician to watch.’
